"The only way to do great work is to love what you do" - Steve Jobs
Hello! I'm Alisha. I’m a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) under supervision of Jessica O-Hair. I hold a Master’s of Science in Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University.
Over the past decade I’ve served various non-profit agencies to address emotional disturbance, attachment style, parenting skills, life transition, traumatic events, and relational issues with members of diverse backgrounds. I’m currently working with adults who have taken the steps to embark on their restorative journey.
My focus is to help members achieve their personal goals to live an empowered life. I strive to offer a therapeutic experience that is authentic, transparent, and sincere. Therapy is a collaborative process of practice and reflection to create ever-lasting change. My hope in our work together is that you feel valued and understood to express your story, and can begin to cultivate a purposeful life.
My approach to therapy is eclectic, pulling from therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), and a Trauma-Informed Approach. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship and self-exploration.
